Welcoming and Inclusive Communities and Workplace Program

This initiative was developed to support strategies that foster welcoming and inclusive communities through partnerships which include the business, government, community sectors as well as First Nations communities.

WICWP has four program elements:

• Community Partnership Development
• Knowledge Development and Exchange
• Public Education
• Demonstration Projects

The Welcoming and Inclusive Communities and Workplace Program at Kamloops Immigrant Services has completed its 3-year committment with the production of the rural communities website at www.welcomethompsonnicola.com  where each rural community has a page intended to outline immigrant services or contact information for immigrants in search of services in the region.
